Shake Off The Weight of Comparison — And Stand Boldly in Who You Are.

healing stress managment transformation May 02, 2025

Let me tell you something I’ve noticed —not once, but over and over again, like a whisper that keeps circling back.

I follow women in this space.

Soul-led women. Brilliant coaches. Healers. Creatives. Entrepreneurs whose work feels like kinship.

If we met face to face, I know we’d sit for hours, sharing stories, nodding in recognition.

But lately?

I’ve been comparing.

Not their message.

Not their magic.

Their capacity.

The Truth We Quietly Forget

Here’s what’s real: The women I compare myself to?

  • They’re not raising a child with complex medical needs.
  • They’re not caregiving across multiple generations.
  • They’re not managing autoimmune flares while trying to run a business and hold space for others.

I am.

And I’ve been doing it — daily — for more than a decade.

Have you felt it too?

You see someone shining — someone whose work lights up something inside you — and instead of just feeling inspired, a quiet voice creeps in:

“Why does this feel so hard for me when they make it look effortless?”

And suddenly, you’re not just admiring.

You’re shrinking.

Not because they’ve done anything wrong —but because you’ve quietly forgotten to factor in your own reality.

The Weight You’re Actually Carrying

You forgot to count:

  • The midnight health checks

  • The appointments, the advocacy, the waiting rooms

  • The chronic pain that flares and injuries without warning

  • The mental load you hold just to keep your family’s life running

This isn’t just comparison.

It’s a disconnection from truth.

And the truth is:

The women you admire? They’re incredible.

And so are you. You’re just carrying a different weight.

Living a different rhythm.

Tending to a nervous system that’s been under strain for a long, long time.

You’re not less capable.

You’re more attuned.

You’re more aware of what’s real — and what’s sacred.

A Message for Your Heart

Hear me clearly, love:

You are not behind.

You are not fragile.

You are not failing.

You are remembering who you are underneath all the roles.

If it feels like you can’t keep up?

That’s because you were never meant to.

You were never meant to match the pace of people who aren’t living your life.

You were built to honor the rhythm that protects your body, your heart, your spirit.

You Are Still In There

You’re not just the caregiver.

Not just the mother.

Not just the woman navigating pain, fatigue, or invisible grief.

You are a soul with a voice.

A heart that still dreams.

A body that has carried more than most — and still longs to feel like home again.

She’s still in there.

Not gone.

Just waiting.

A Gentle Way Back

Let’s begin quietly.

Micro-Practice:

Place one hand on your heart, one hand on your belly.

Close your eyes.

Take three slow breaths.

With each exhale, whisper: “I am still here.”

That’s the work.

Not more doing, more striving, more comparison.

Just returning.

Again and again.

Let This Be the Week You Remember

If your body softened while reading this —

if you exhaled, if something in you whispered yes —

I invite you to join my weekly soul-letter.

This is not a place for more pressure, more noise, more strategies.

It’s a space for women like you — women who are holding so much —

to receive steady, nervous system-safe reminders that you are allowed to slow down,

to listen inward, and to rise in your way.

Join the soul-letter here

Because you don’t need to become more.

You just need to remember who you already are —

and create space to honor her again.

Let’s walk this remembering together,

one breath,

one boundary,

one quiet return at a time.
